Jimmy Butler breaks Michael Jordan's 27 year Bulls record with 40-point half-way

Jimmy Butler
Jimmy Butler had quite a night on Sunday as the Chicago Bulls overturned a halftime deficit to beat the Toronto Raptors 115-113.
The 26-year-old was the catalyst for the Bulls' resurgence, and, in knocking down 40 of his 42 total points in the final two quarters of action, Butler broke one of Michael Jordan's long-standing franchise records.

RECORD BREAKER

As noted by ESPN, Butler's 40 points in a half were one better than MJ's 39 against the Milwaukee Bucks back in 1989.
Recovering from a 1-of-4 start to the game, Butler was the hot hand on the Chicago team as the game went on and he made 14 of his final 19 shots to register his second 40-point game of the season.
However, even having gone one better than the legendary Jordan, Butler wasn't willing to be compared to the G.O.A.T.
